Pushing Gelatin to the Limit: Razzle-Dazzle Raspberry Dress

In Episode 5 of Baking Impossible, Cindy and I pushed the bounds of gelatin to create a purely gelatin-based dress. We modulated hydration, added edible plasticizers, laser cut, molded, and hand-tooled gelatin to create this one-of-a-kind piece.

The underlying science of this design is based on research in tunable hydrogels, where the behavior of a hydrogel is modulated by different additives. In our case, we were able to do this with entirely edible solutions.
