Booth @ CMU Spring Carnival
Booth is one of Carengie Mellon’s oldest and most vibrant traditions. Each spring, greek organizations and a variety of other student groups compete to build their own two story interactive story telling exhibit spaces for the public to enjoy— all in just the span of one week.
In 2019, I was heavily involved with the logistical planning and hands-on building of our organizations booth. I helped organize 50 other students in developing a booth themed to the Disney Pixar movie Coco. We walked away with great pride in our work, and a massive first place trophy.
The video adjacent shows a walk through of our work; in addition to what’s in frame of the footage, we built a variety of immersive tech features like a custom snapchat filter, fully custom guitar-band style game, projection mapping, and interactive audio and lighting.
note: if you’re a future sigep who has stumbled onto this page while researching booth, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If you don’t have my contact info, VPF should have it.
